no but if she had I don't think it would have worked

[Yeah, you keep telling yourself that, honey.]

FROM: skywalker.luke@cdc.org

I was just curious! there are a few species I've never encountered here I don't want to make any assumptions

[Because aliens are a matter of social justice concern in his galaxy, you know how it is.]
t65: (what i really mean is)

[That's what coming from a galaxy far far away will do to you.]

FROM: skywalker.luke@cdc.org

oh! that would explain it I think. there isn't much genetic modification where I'm from after the clone wars people usually think it's a bad idea.

I'm not the best person to ask I think! I don't know much about history

[Note to self: don't be home schooled on Tatooine.]

FROM: skywalker.luke@cdc.org

they were the republic's clones. my father fought along side them and Obi-Wan Kenobi if you knew him when he was here
t65: (ah yes completely useless icons)

He was a good man.

[Now that Ben's gone, it's like it was before. He's dead and Luke has to honor his memory with his actions. It's a comfort, then, that people knew him.]

FROM: skywalker.luke@cdc.org

No its very rare. I'm the last one. Ben comes from a time before we were all wiped out

FROM: skywalker.luke@cdc.org

Obi-Wan I mean. I knew him as Ben
t65: (he can't ask any of his 4 mentors)

[Lucky for Noh-Varr, on most subjects Luke is an open book.]

[Really more of an open pamphlet.]

FROM: skywalker.luke@cdc.org

yes. he was my first mentor in the Force. he showed me that I had the same abilities as my father

FROM: skywalker.luke@cdc.org

I wish I had known him better. he was an old man when i met him and he died very soon after
t65: (so many regrets)

I do.

FROM: skywalker.luke@cdc.org

he was a very kind man. and wise. it makes sense that he's gone but I'm sorry he's left also

like I said he is dead in my time. and just before I came here I completed the task he had been training me for

[Luke opts not to mention the whole Space Ghost: Coast to Coast thing, because, while he's not ashamed, it's kind of... hard to explain.]

FROM: skywalker.luke@cdc.org

I miss him and I wish him well but I don't think second chances are in the will of the Force

[Really, Luke is starting to suspect him having any mentors or teachers isn't in the will of the Force, but that's another matter entirely. A thoroughly ominous, terrifying matter, one that Luke would prefer not to think about right now.]

FROM: skywalker.luke@cdc.org

I'm sorry that's not the most satisfying answer
